- We don't sell, rent, share, or trade your personal information.
- We don't send marketing emails — only transactional ones (verification, password resets, invoices). No mailing list unless you specifically sign up for one.
- We don't store your credit card details — Square handles those directly.
- We don't see your password — it's hashed before storage, so even the admin can't read it.
- Customer data lives on our own server, not in a third-party CRM or marketing platform.
Who we are
CZ Detailing ("we", "us") provides mobile automotive detailing services. This policy covers our website and the services you book through it.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly:
- Account info: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), and a hashed password if you create an account.
- Booking info: the service or custom package you request, your vehicle type, any message you send us, and any photos you choose to attach to a quote.
- Invoice info: line items and totals for any invoice we generate from your booking.
- Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) used only to keep the site running and block abuse.
What we do with it
- Reply to your quote requests and schedule your appointment.
- Send you the invoice and any payment receipts.
- Let you sign in to your account to view past invoices and update your contact details.
- Protect the site against spam and brute-force attempts.
That's it. We do not use your info for advertising, profiling, retargeting, analytics, or any kind of marketing list.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your information — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not share it with marketers or partner businesses.
- We do not send marketing emails. The only emails we send are transactional — account verification, password resets, and invoices for services you booked. We do not run a newsletter or promotional mailing list. If we ever start one, it will be opt-in only and clearly labelled.
- We do not store credit card numbers. When you pay an invoice with a card, you enter the details on Square's hosted payment page; the card number, expiration, and CVV go directly to Square. They never touch our server, and we never see or store them.
- We do not see your password. Passwords are run through a one-way hash before they hit our database, so even the site administrator only ever sees the hash, never the original password. That's also why a password reset replaces your password instead of "looking it up" — we genuinely don't know what it was.
- We do not store customer data in any third-party CRM, email-marketing tool, or off-site database. Everything lives on the server that runs this website.
Limited service providers
A few outside services receive small slices of your info only because they're required for us to operate. They act as processors on our behalf and don't get to use your data for their own purposes:
- Email delivery — sends transactional emails (account verification, password resets) to the address you registered with.
- Square — processes credit-card payments when you choose "Pay with Card" on an invoice. They handle card details directly; we never see or store them.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — protects our contact form against bots. It does not collect personal information from you.
We also send a one-line notification to our internal Discord channel when a new quote comes in or an invoice is paid — this is the team chat we use to know it's time to follow up with you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, quotes, and invoices for as long as you have an account with us, plus any period required to comply with tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your account and any non-tax-related data at any time.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text). Connections to the site use HTTPS. The server is the only place your data lives, and access is restricted to the site administrator. No system is bullet-proof, but we'd rather under-collect than over-collect — the less we have, the less there is to lose.
Your rights
You can:
- Sign in to your account and update your name, phone number, or quote details at any time.
- Email us to request a copy of everything we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it.
Cookies
We set a single session cookie so that you can stay signed in while you browse the site, plus a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We'll never quietly start doing something with your data that contradicts this policy.
